SBI Clerk Result 2018: The results of Preliminary examination for SBI Clerks recruitment are coming up in the middle of June 2018. The SBI results will reflect on the official website (www.sbi.co.in) of State Bank of India. To know the results, applicants have to log in to the website with such credentials as the registration number and birth date.

SBI Clerk Result Prelims & Mains Exams
Close to 200,000 applicants are likely to come into the fray for the bank jobs. The whole process of selection involves multiple levels, and an applicant must qualify at each level individually. Once the applicant fills in the application and pays the exam fee through a secure payment gateway, he/she will have to sit for the online examination for the preliminary level during the closing week of May 2018. Call letters to the examination are going to be sent a couple of weeks before the examination.
In the Preliminary level of the examination, the different sections include Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and Test of English language. The total number of questions is 100 and time allowed is one hour. The section carries a maximum of 100 marks.
The questions in the Main examination are divided into four sections, namely General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and General English. There will be in all 190 questions and the total composite time allowed is 160 minutes (two hours and 40 minutes). The section carries a maximum of 200 marks.
Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: This section tests your reasoning power, clarity, accuracy, and speed of thinking are important. Attention to detail is also important for this section.
As for computer aptitude, An applicant must possess knowledge of how to operate a computer, and previous examination questions will be of great help. These questions will give a broad idea of what kind of questions are asked, and it’s easy to prepare for this section.
Quantitative aptitude: The general quantitative computational ability is tested in this section. This involves questions on arithmetic, general operations in mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Speed and accuracy are critical to this section.
Test of English language: In this section, an applicant is expected of having workman-like skills in using the language. The question is set on grammar – general as well as applied. It also tests vocabulary. Further, questions on synonyms, antonyms may set. Good knowledge of English can go a long way to help secure a good score in this section.
General/Financial awareness: This section comes in the main examination. In this section, questions on such matters such as everyday happening around, financial, economic, social policies pursued in the country, and their implications are asked. Questions on banking terminology, currencies, money and financial institutors and markets are also asked. In this section, memory, understanding the logic will help get a high score in the examination.
The cutoff score is to be determined by the Bank based on the number of applicants and the overall performance of all applicants. An applicant has to score the qualifying standard to clear the examination. The preliminary examination results are to be declared during June 2018.
Having cleared the Preliminary examination, applicants have to sit for the main examination. The main examination is going to be held online as well. The main examination is likely to be held during the second week of July 2018. The call letters for the examination are to be issued to each applicant individually in August (third week) 2018. The cutoff score for the examination is to be determined at the discretion of the Bank.

- A new window will reflect on the screen.
- Enter your login details such as roll/registration number and password/your birth date. Then click on “submit”.
- Your result will show up on the screen. It will display your marks secured along with the cut off marks. You can download or get a print-out of the result for your future reference.

Cut off marks for SBI Clerk 2018 Preliminary examination
The Exam cutoff scores for the different sections would be expected as follows.
- General – 5.50.
- OBC/SC/ST/Others – 2.00.
- General – 6.75.
- SC/ST/OBC/Others -3.25.
- Unreserved (General/Open) – 7.75.
- ST/SC/OBC/Others – 3.25.
The qualified applicants have to sit for personal interview test. Following the test, the main result is to be announced. Usually, the final result is announced in August 2018.
It is also important to know that the cut off scores are given here are just indicative, and the actual overall cutoff scores are to be determined by the bank. The Bank will let know the applicants about it in the result announcement.
The final selection of the applicants following the two examinations along with personal interview depends on the number of vacancies that are available. This year, State Bank of India is going to fin 12,000 jobs.
